Setting
Thunderclan
Resting within the heart of the Thunderclan territory is the camp. A small clearing, surrounded by great rock walls. The camp is resting at the bottom of a cliff. It's as if the camp is a small dent within the earth. The earth slopes into the camp on one side. On the other the camp is surrounded by a steep and sheer cliff. There is a small hallow dug into the rock wall. This is the leaders den. This is also the place where the meetings of the clan take place. The rest of the dens are comprised of ferns, bramble, and heather.
Thunderclan territory is usually rich with prey and shelter. Their warriors have mastered the skill of moving through the undergrowth almost completely silently, some cats feel unease, not being able to sleep directly under the stars, just as Thunderclanners feel unease in the wide open moors. They are very adapted to their territory, though they still suffer harsh leaf bares, life is sustainable in the thick woods. Thunderclan territory includes settings such as the Half Bridge, Twoleg Path, Clearing, Ancient Oak, Old Thunderpath, and Abandoned Twoleg Nest.
The Half Bridge happens to be an old dock used by Twolegs. They come in Greenleaf on ocassion, bearing great water monsters onto the lake.
The twoleg path is a hiking trail for the twolegs, leading down to the water's edge. The path winds it's way all up to the curling border of Shadowclan. The Twoleg Path isn't used often by the Twolegs, but caution should be taken, as they often bring with them dogs.
This if the Clearing. It is much like the training hollow once found in the old forest. Mentors and apprentices often come here to train in sparring. The hollow is a dirt and sand clearing surrounded by dense woodland, many paw prints of felines and scuttles of prey dapple the ground, packing it somewhat, however the clearing is still dusty and padded to the touch.
A little way from the shore of the lake, within the dense greens of Thunderclan forest, lies the Ancient Oak. It is believed to be the eldest tree in the forest, with a great wing span, and towering branches.
The Old Thunderpath is just that. It is scarcely used, if at all, and happens to be a mere dirt road. The Old Thunderpath runs through the heart of Thunderclan Territory, but poses little to no threat.
The Abandoned Twoleg nest was once inhabited by Twoleg. However the possible threat has long since moved on, leaving the nest to rot away. The roof of the nest sags ever so slightly, but the structure seems pretty well sound. The Abandoned Twoleg Nest provides great shelter for Thunderclan in distress, and also happens to grow some valuable herbs.
This part of the lake shore belongs to Thunderclan. However it's not your typical beach, as the 'sand' itself consists of mostly muddied ground under paw. The beach itself is littered fallen logs and young plants. Some herbs can be found here, along with birds and mice among the logs. Watch your step, you may find yourself within a maze of wood.
ShadowClan
Surrounded by the tall pines, the Shadowclan camp is sheltered in shadows. The pines are a great light barrier, shade isn't hard to find here, though as the story says, the pines to little hope to the harsh winds blowing across their territory. Shadowclan's camp is sheltered near the heart of the territory, dens nestled into clumps of ferns. The leader may address his or her clan at a low charcoal black rock. This also acts as the leaders den, nestled between the rock and the camp barrier, brambles are thinly lined to make a shelter from rain and snow.
Lying across the Twoleg Path from Thunderclan territory, Shadowclan's territory fades from the warm greens of Thunderclan forest to the dark pines known to be Shadowclan's claimed land. The land if marshy, some places are known to be sloppy and muddy, other parts of the territory are known to have a harder ground, great for battle training. Dead pine needles shower the cold earth, to Shadowclan cats, this is great comfort, soft to the touch. To outsiders unfamiliar and unused to the territory, the pine needles are horrid.
This is the twoleg nest. This is a humble little camp for a twoleg or two, within the heart of Shadowclan territory. It is closely inspected, however the twolegs only seem prone come around in greenleaf.Even so, it only happens a few nights every moon or two(in greenleaf).
This part of the shore leading to the lake belongs to Shadowclan. The beach itself, unlike Thunderclan, consists of mostly coarse sand, warm under the paws. Not much grows here, however you may find yourself treading upon a gull every so often, potential food. Leading out of the dense pine trees, would be Shadowclan's Lake shore. Mostly minnows rest in the shallow depths, though one would have to have the skill of Riverclan to actually catch a fish.
The Greenleaf Twoleg Place, this happens to be what the Twolegs would call a campsite. They tend to only come about during the warm season, however they usually pose little threat. The camp consists of a hollowed dip, in which the Twolegs create one of the clans' great enemies, fire. There also happens to be a little shelter, a sort of camp. The camp is sort of like a Twoleg Nest, it has a roof, however lacks walls, instead, great, strong trunks reach up and hold the roof in place. Of course, this camp often makes Shadowclan weary when the Twolegs come around, but they're often gone within a few sunrises.
The Small Thunderpath flanks along the border of Riverclan, however it splits into a sort of 'T' near the center of the border. Keep going straight, and you'll find yourself slithering along the thin stretch of territory before Riverclan breaks way. However with an abrupt turn, part of the Small Thunderpath veers into the heart of Shadowclan territory. This small stretch of Thunderpath leads all the way to the Twoleg Nest. Don't fret, however. The Thunderpath is pretty well abandoned, rather overgrown. The road itself is near deserted, the only traffic it sees is scarce, and usually during Greenleaf.
RiverClan
Riverclan camp is sheltered near the rear of Riverclan Territory. They are well sheltered, little threats are posed from other clans within Riverclan territory. Raiding clans must first surpass the river or stream, a challenge for any warrior outside of Riverclan. Their camp is on drier ground, per say to the rest of their territory. Dens are sheltered in ferns, nests lined of moss and soft feather. Riverclanners are all for shiny and pretty things, shells and such decorate their dens. The leader may call his or her own clan together at the barren tree. A tall tree looms toward the western edge of the clearing, stripped of it's bark. The leader may perch on the lowest hanging branch, a few tail lengths from the ground.
This is the a stream that runs through the heart of Riverclan territory. This stream runs from one side of the territory, and across to the other. Half way toward the lake, however, the stream manages to join up with a slightly larger flowing river. The stream has some small fish, perhaps enough for a young apprentice of the sorts. However herbs of the sorts tend to grow in these moist soils.
Much like the old territory of Riverclan, a stream rich with life runs within their boundaries. However unlike their old home, Riverclan's new river does not serve as a border to Thunderclan, rather the flowing water borders the other side of Riverclan camp, parallel to The Stream. Toward the lake, the Stream and River seem to meet up. The merge of waters creates some traffic, where the current grows slightly more prominent. Now working together, the water slithers down into the lake. The fish in the River are rather larger than the fish of the Stream, however the herbs are less common compared to the Stream.
This is Riverclans territory. It is in general, pretty well the same thing as The Forest, in Thunderclan, or Pine Forest, in Shadowclan. However this land is equipped to suite Riverclan. Aside from the River, Lake, and Stream, this land is also rich with prey. Upon nearing the bodies of water, you'll find yourself in a maze of reeds and wetland shrubs. Prey such as mice, birds, water voles, etc. can be found here. There is also the odd herb here and there.
Just like every other clan around the forest, Riverclan, the clan of the water, must have a piece of the Lake Shore, too, right? However the shore itself is slightly different from that of Shadowclan and Thunderclan. Rather than pebble beaches, the land simply crumbles away, fed to the hungry depths of the lake. The grassy reeds break way to muddied banks. Slightly farther away from the main land, reeds and bulrush poke out of the water, if a feline could get out silently enough, it's bound to be a prime spot for hiding fish. It's fairly shallow, too, if you don't mind getting your belly wet. Along the shore itself, water vole and animals of the sort, along with birds, tend to gander the banks. The Lake Shore, and Stream are one of the most herb abundant places in all of Riverclan.
Windclan
Windclan camp. Windclan camp lies in the heart of their territory, unlike Thunderclan or Shadowclan, trees are scarce, providing little protection against the harsh winds. At first glance, it's a marvel at Windclan camp, the rolling hills of the moors are like any other. The Windclan camp is as if a very warrior from Starclan scooped out a massive paw full of the earth. The earth dips down into a hollow, and resting within this hollow are the Windclan warriors. Even the camp provides little shelter, there are patches of heather, the most sheltered spots being given to the queens and elders. The leader calls his or her clan at the high mound, a small rise in the clearing for the leader to address. His or her den resides beside it in a woven patch of heather.
Windclan territory. The land of the moors. Their territory consists of pretty much the rolling hills of springy grass. Trees are scarce, the odd boulder scatters the land, the odd badger den. But at first glance, Windclan looks barren, especially in leaf bare. The land is deterring, just a blanket of forbidding white snow. Windclan is abundant in hares/rabbits, so rabbits/hares act as their dominant food source. Of course, you may find mice, birds, etc.
Windclan's lake shore it much like Riverclan's. The land leading up to the water's edge is mostly grass, however with the ebbing and swelling banks, the grass dissolves away into muddy shores. Some water plants dapple the area, however nothing significant. It's mostly minnows in the water here, but it's not like Windclan to hunt fish anyway.
The Broken Half Bridge. When exploring this intriguing place, I suggest you watch your step. The Broken Half Bridge is a great place to collect moss. But beware, the wood itself look sturdy enough, however upon ginger touch, it happens to be rotted, and bristling with slivers that pack quite the bite. The bridge itself is pretty well caved in and rotted, but it serves well purpose for moss collecting, and various herbs.
Tribe Of Rushing Water
The travel to the clans were harsh, but not impossible. And after a tiring and hard journey, the Tribe of Rushing Water has finally settled into their new home. The Horseplace. The camp lies within the old abandoned barn. Dens have been made out of animal stalls, moss, and hay.
The Tribe of Rushing Water's new territory consists of the land of the Horseplace. It mostly consist of overgrown fields, and the occasional patch of trees and shrubs. Their territory stretches from the far marsh land that borders Riverclan, to the edge of the fence bordering Windclan.
Neutral Territory
This is the Gathering Island. On the night of each full moon, the clans of the lake gather upon the island to share news with one another. The gathering island is a few fox lengths from the shore, connected by a fallen tree to lead a slight bridge across the water. The island iteself is protected and surrounded by shrubs and looming trees, but in the heart of the islan, sits a great clearing to hold the cats of the clans. The leaders gather within the low branches of the great tree. Their deputies may reside at the base.
This is the Moonpool, shared by all the clans of the lake. This is a very sacred place to the clans. Every half moon, medicine cats and their apprentices meet at the Moonpool to share tongues with their warrior ancestors. Deputies may also go here to receive their nine lives. Leaders in need of guidance from Starclan may rest here for a night to speak with their ancestors.
Unclaimed Territory
Loner territory. This is a place unclaimed by any clans or twolegs. This is a place abundant with loners and rogues, here they may roam freely without the threat of the upwalkers or clans. Though, like the rest of the forest, it has it's draw backs in leaf bare.
The twoleg place is a nightmare to the forest cats, but a sanctuary to kittypets. The land is rich with monsters and twolegs. Clan cats are on high alert in this area, kittypets are at ease, aside from the common dog or monster. This place mostly holds the kittypet, though you'll see the odd loner wandering the ally ways.[/size][/ul][/ul]
